Manifest 2007!

Sun Sep 23, 2007, 4:48 AM
  • Mood: Tired
And another one down for another year... *phew*

Manifest kind of felt hectic this year, but of course in the best of ways. ;) In my case, I'm thinking this was kind of due to getting between 3-5 hours' sleep 10 days leading up to, and during, the actual convention... but who really knows. Ideally I'd like to have quietly spent this past week in recovery, but somehow I've been out and about almost every day; nevertheless time waits for no one and oh god, next week is joyous catch-up-with-uni week. =_=;; Well, that's life.

For those of you who ordered a copy of Detergent and/or chibi magnets from our table (presuming you've successfully managed to wander over here)-
I mailed out everything on Friday afternoon, and your orders should reach you sometime early this coming week, perhaps a little longer if you're interstate (assuming Australia Post is reliable). I'm just about to send out an e-mail, so apologies if you're getting this twice- if there are any problems, you can contact me at lunatic_seas [at] yahoo.com, or leave a note here (e-mail is preferrable). I'm sorry for being a little slow on the orders- we only did the second print run of Detergent on Wednesday, and I only got some more supplies for magnets that day, so. ^^;

Anyhow, thank you to everyone who dropped by our table- hope you all enjoyed the convention and are fully recovered now. ;)

I live! :O

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Happy Valentine's Day, Happy Chinese New Year... did I miss anything? :S

Err, so apparently I haven't updated this thing for over six months? Oops. >_>;; (And yet my page views have gone an extra 2000+ without my lifting a finger - you Naruto folk are CRAZY I tell you, CRAZY!!) As always, I'm terribly sorry for not keeping on top of things and replying to comments and the like (life's a bitch, what can I say) - but a very big THANK YOU for all your faves, watches and comments; I'm sorry I haven't had time to individually thank y'all. Also, another extra special THANK YOU to the wonderful people who helped me out by buying stuff (see previous post for details *hint hint*) - your support really does mean a lot to me.

Anyway, I s'pose I'll try upload SOMETHING in the coming months, but no promises. Sorry for being so terribly inactive. :'(

Manifest 2006: Reflection

Tue Sep 26, 2006, 8:13 AM
1000th HIT APPROACHING: if this is you, take a screencap and note me; if I have time I might do something nice. :D

Manifest is over for the year and boy- I've needed the last two days to recover! ^^;

I went as a fan trader for the first time, sharing a table with the wonderful ~Liliana-Claire and ~Lorialet. We didn't really know what to expect so it was a little nerve-wracking that way, but despite some disappointments I think it was a good experience, and we'll be back better than ever next year! ;)

Due to being holed down in the fan traders area most of the weekend I didn't get to see that much of the actual con, but as usual it was the people and atmosphere that made it (for me), in the end. I did, however, get to meet some lovely and talented artists, and I was very pleasantly surprised by the Melbourne/Australian standard!!

Anyway, a very big thank you to everyone who stopped by! Thanks for your support, and we'll see you next year!!

Manifest 2006

Wed Sep 20, 2006, 11:47 AM
I doubt this applies to many people, but just in case there's anyone reading who just happens to be going to Melbourne Anime Festival (Manifest) on the weekend...

~Lorialet, ~Liliana-Claire, ~DeliriousProductions and I will be sharing a table in the fan traders area (under the name Guild Women). I'll be selling the postcards and Naruto calendar featured in my gallery, possibly cosplaying as Nanao from Bleach if I can get my act together and make her outfit in under 24 hours.... *cries*

It's our first time selling things at a con, so I'm very nervous (and wondering what I'll do with 20 calendars should they not sell *laugh*). Anyway, please stop by and say hi! :D

I was never a community person.

Sat Jul 8, 2006, 6:40 AM
I think it's been about a year and three months exactly since I last logged on.
... Yeah.

So belatedly, I'd like to thank people for the comments, watches and favourites - I do appreciate them, and I would drop by and leave a note, but it feels a little too weird to do so after this amount of time. ^^;

On a similar note, I'd like to apologise to all those I've been [supposedly] watching and haven't left as much as a comment! I'm a bad, bad person.

As for my lack of activity (for those who actually care *laugh*) - I guess there's a combination of real life, competing interests, and just the fact that I've never drawn on an uber-frequent basis - something I'm always trying to remedy, with little to no success. Most importantly, I've never been a 'community' person - every single forum and community I've ever joined, whether it be anime or art or music or whatever, I'm currently inactive in - and I think that says something. Like, "HI, I'M A SOCIAL HERMIT!!", for instance. Just having my stuff so... open to the world is freakin' terrifying, to be honest. So.

Anyway... art-wise I'm trying to get my act together for my local anime convention in September, as well as branching out stylistically and conceptually. (Pft!) Other exciting news is that I recently blew about five weeks' pay on a brand new shiny Wacom Intuous 3 9x12" tablet, and it works a treat! Hopefully that means more art, but we'll see. :D

Until next time!
